Happy New Year, y'all! There have been whispers and rumors of Mixtape Monday's return in 2017, and low-and-behold, y'all were right. We're back in business with brand new mixes from producers, selectors and spitters adept at peddling heat-rock. We're extremely excited to have the Mixtape Monday series return, as we are bringing you joints from LinaforniaTall Black GuyHarry FraudCurren$yJus JamMidas HutchSkeme Richards and Crack-T.

Each jam runs the gamut from deep house and soul to classic boom-bap hip-hop to heavy mixtape heaters and dance gems. Earmilk - Earmilk Presents Midas Hutch

Fresh off the release of The High EP, Midas Hutch is in the driver’s seat for the latest mix from Earmilk. Clocking in just past the 30-minute mark, the set features dense grooves and plenty of remixes from MH. He applies his signature effervescent synth aesthetic to tracks by Dej Loaf, Janet Jackson, Nas, Post Malone, Bryson Tiller, Goldlink, Craig David and D.R.A.M. Some MH originals also make the final cut, rounding out the 20-track party mix.

WeHeartBeat - #LetsTakeATrip Mixed By TallBlackGuy

Commemorating a recent trip to South Africa and a fire sophomore studio album, TallBlackGuy drops a 13-track mix for Johannesburg’s WeHeartBeat Podcast. The set caps one heck of a year for TBG, which included the release of his formidable 13-track Let’s Take A Trip LP. The mix features contributions from his Playlist Retreat compatriots DJ Jazzy Jeff, Stro Elliott and 14KT. Killiam Shakespeare, Slot A, Dego and Moonchild are also on deck.

California beat queen Linafornia is in the mix alongside hosts FreshDaily and P.U.D.G.E. for the 50th episode of Beat Haus Radio. Linafornia’s appearance on the show follows a banner year for the rising producer, including the release of her vibe heavy full-length beat project YUNG and her live set at Beathaus. Linafornia was recently named the beat scene’s Rookie of the Year by L.A. Weekly. This mix makes it abundantly clear that that’s no understatement.

France’s Jus Jam serves up a well-rounded one hour mix of deep house and 90s hip-hop for Dionysian Mysteries that shines from start to finish. The highlight of this set is the fluidity of the mix, which is packed with soulful jams and choice remixes of Golden Era classics. The mix is a decent appetizer ahead of Jus Jam’s forthcoming releases, due to land in late winter 2017 on his Khasia Hills label.
