Crazy 2 Cool: MPLS Station Will Broadcast Exclusive Live Prince Medley This Friday

Look into his eyes, people. Do you see it? Do you see what Prince has in store 4 u? Well, if you're having trouble, let me break it down with brevity. The Purple One played a show back in 2014 at Le Zenith in Paris as part of his brilliant surprise show series Hit 'N Run (which, oddly enough, ended up being the title of his latest record.) But, as per the Prince standard, the cell phone game at the show was locked as tight as the man's vault. And now that he's back in the states and enjoying some time at the Paisley HQ, it appears he'll be treating his local constituency to a taste of just what he had been cooking up cross-pond.

Minneapolis radio station 89.3 FM (The Current) will be broadcasting a live 20-minute medley from the aforementioned performance this Friday, November 6th at 6PM and 11PM. And though the MPLS will be the only city to be able to literally turn the dial to the appropriate frequency, the rest of the world need not fear, as you will also be able to stream the audio via The Current's site if you happen to be outside of the broadcasting radius. You'd think that alone would be enough to cause some conniptions, but, there's even more of The Kid to be heard this weekend. The following day (November 7th,) TIDAL will exclusively host an intimate acoustic performance from purple protege Andy Allo, who will be supported by Prince on guitar.

So there you have it. If you had plans this weekend, we're not saying toss them to the wind, but it might be time to start planning accordingly. Oh and if you're really itching for some new Prince, peep this freshly-unveiled snippet of vintage funk from the gawd, "If Eye Could Get Ur Attention" down below.
