Norway meets BK with Scandinavian funkstress Maya Vik's new single "Lay Low" and "Hush," the subsequent rework by Brooklyn's sad rap champion Little Pain. Just weeks after we featured here for First Look Friday, she goes ahead and drops this stirring groove with swooping synthesizers, 808's and Maya's swirling filtered vocal treatment, guaranteed to make even the stiffest of beds rock. The rework features Little Pain dropping his hallmark affectionate rhyme schemes over Maya's electronic slow jam. The effort comes from Maya's upcoming Lay Low EP, which features reworks by Dawn Richard, Little Pain, Morgan Phalen, and Handerre Linn, drops December 16th on Oslo Records.
