When Sway plays some old footage from Lupe Fiasco taking the RapFix host to his block a couple years back, Lupe is visibly moved by seeing some of his old friends and the neighborhood he was raised in. Trying his best to fight back tears, Lupe explains his anguish: "Some of them dudes are dead [...] You're just tryin' to make it better and come up out of it. [...] Some of them kids ain't gon' make it out of there. And you feel so helpless." It's words like these (and the emotional weight attached to them) that keep reminding us of how this man's voice is such an important one to be heard. On that same episode of RapFix, Wasalu also comments on the roles that books and religion play for his writing, shares some lines off his upcoming "Lamborghini Angels" single, pays respect to The Firm and Nature sitting next to him on the couch, and much more. As a special bonus, we also included clips of Lu eloquently discussing his "B*tch Bad" song with Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg, as well as Ice Cube responding to a comment he made about how Cube's music affected his view of women negatively.
