Drummer Lil' John Roberts Premieres The Official Video For "Get Right" Featuring Sa-Roc From His Forthcoming 'The Heartbeat' LP Directed By Ben Brown Foto & Casso Motion Picture

World-renowned drummer Lil' John Roberts drops the official video for "Get Right" featuring Sa-Roc ahead of his forthcoming solo LP entitled The Heartbeat. From child prodigy to life as one of the most sought after jazz and r&b drummers, John's versatility and rhythmic expertise have have found him killing it across the industry from his early days in the Duke Ellington Orchestra lead by trumpeter and conductor extraordinaire Wynton Marsalis to touring with Janet Jackson and TLC. A specialist in providing the pulse, he has amassed an amazing list of career credits peppered with the names of musical icons including Herbie Hancock, George Duke, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Elton John, Mos Def, Common, Mary J. Blige and so many more.

Stepping to the fore, John preps fans for his forthcoming 18-track solo project with the video for the lead single anchored by a blazing lyrical performance from DMV-bred MC Sa-Roc. Crushing on the mic, Sa-Roc's take no prisoners approach to spitting parallels Lil' John Roberts' no-holds-barred performance on percussion; the omnipresent backbone of the track is only amplified by an airtight pocket. The killer collaborative effort has produced a scorcher of a track that finds Lil John Roberts flipping the script with a boom-bap recording that should encourage fans to expect the unexpected. The impending release is an expertly crafted project that breaks the boundaries of genre and packs a heaping helping of funk.

Joining Lil' John and Sa-Roc in this introductory clip are Tres Gilbert on bass, Clarence "TLee" Hill and Phil Davis on keys and Derek Scott on guitar. The video directed by Ben Brown Foto and Casso Motion Picture also features the amazing talents of turntablist and leader of the God Hop gang, DJ Sol Messiah.
