Lee "Scratch" Perry Loses Everything In Studio Fire
Sad news out of Switzerland this morning, as reggae giantLee "Scratch" Perryreports that he's lost a life's worth of recordings, magical hats and boots in a studio fire last night at his "Secret Laboratory". According to a post published on his Facebook account, the fire was caused by a candle that was left burning. Perry has also asked of his "angels that always give me perfect things" to send him private messages if they intend to send him anything, exchanging guest list spots for clothing items and donations. It should be noted that this is at least the second time one of Perry's recording facilities have gone up in smoke, as his famed Black Ark studio in Kingston was allegedly burned down by Perry himself in a fit of rage in the late '70s.
