Video Premiere: Kyle Rapps & Diwon "Mr. Rogers"

Kyle Rapps breaks out the cardigan and plimsoles and comes through with a brilliant and hilariously on-point video for his song "Mr. Rogers," utilizing the magic of youTubery to make the song's comic welcome-to-my-neighborhood premise a warped (and video noise-pixelated) alternate reality--although it's unclear whether this is an official dis/answer record to PBS' own auto-tuned Fred Rogers cut. But lest you think this is just another click-and-forget one-liner of a web meme, let Kyle's surname remind you; dude rapps. And any rap that opens with a couplet rhyming "Larry David" and "very naked" is clearly going to go well. This is off Rapps' forthcoming Syndication project, built entirely out of samples from classic TV. Captain Kangaroo, hold your head.
