Little goapele
Goapele, all smiles and gorgeous in red, delivers a sweet, groovy performance of her new single ‘Hey Boy’ over at ThisisRnBSessions. She’s definitely having a good time singing and dancing to the cutest sexual innuendo I've heard in a long time. “Hey Boy” is an infectious funk record and the first single from her upcoming fifth studio album with singer Eric Benet's record label Jordan House, Strong As Glass--no set release date yet, but the record is expected to drop sometime this fall.
You may recall Goapele took a hiatus a few years back, to make and raise her family, and is returning to the stage for a prolonged period of time this time for the Strong As Glass album tour. She's already set an NY autumn date and several dates in her Oakland, California hometown. Check out her very pleasant performance and flawless red jumpsuit below. The two-song includes a stunning acappella rendition of one of her "favorite classic songs, Etta James', At Last. She delivers a delightfully original cover and was still all smiles and in passionate, lighthearted spirits. (I shook my head and raised my hand to testify at the last line.)
