Columbia Nights is a production duo out of DC consisting of two guys, Hayling Price (keys) and John E Daise (bass). They caught our ear recently with a cover version of George Duke's "Feel" (it seems Thundercat ain't the only dude these days repping classic Duke). Their debut EP, Dusk | Dawn, just dropped this week. Their sound is an organic blend of analog and digital, soul and electronic, and ALL live instrumentation. Sarai Abdul-Malik is the featured vocalist on the EP. The group themselves say they're "in search of a bold new approach to black music." Intrigued? You should be. We think they're onto something.
