Common, Karriem Riggins, Dam-Funk + More To Perform At Free Stones Throw Festival In LA

Next month Stones Throw Records will toast to twenty years of being the supreme purveyor of progressive and experimental sounds the world over with a free all-ages festival in Los Angeles. The procession is part of Red Bull Sound Select's 30 Days In LA programming and it's slated to be an all-star celebration by any system of metrics.

Virtually the entire roster will be accounted for with few exceptions (praying Knxwledge will turn up for at least a NxWorries victory lap after the album's release on October 21st, though we wouldn't rule it our just yet) including label founder Peanut Butter Wolf, Dam-Funk, J Rocc, Mndsgn, Homeboy Sandman, Mild High Club, Koreatown Oddity, Chrome Canyon, Sudan Archives and new signee, Gabriel Garzon-Montano. And as the day's headliner, Common will perform, likely with Stones Throw heavyweight Karriem Riggins, who's at the helm for his anxiously-awaited new album Black America Again, slated for release that very same week.

So if you happen to be anywhere else on the planet, it might be time to book that airfare. The festival will take place on November 5th in Highland Park, just a short drive from Stones Throw HQ.
