Perhaps you caught wind of the immeasurable dopeness of the hip-hop short Keep Pushing when it hit the internets last month. Well, dear friends, today you're in for a treat. As the theme song from the film has been released in all of its nostalgic glory, featuring a flame-treated performance from the film's lead Billy Da Kid AKA real-life busker Jadon Woodard, who absolutely obliterates this funky vintage cut, which boasts a production credit from the legendary Mr. Len of Company FlowAnd while, thus far, this track and the short are all we have to hold us over until the full-length feature jumps out of production, it's hard to argue that they're on to a strong start, reminding folks that it's all about the good shit, never the bullshit. You can peep Jadon Woodard strut his verbal gymnastics supremely on the theme from Keep Pushing along with a statement from Guy Routte (the film's Associate Producer and W.A.R. Media chief) on the track below. Stay tuned as we continue to track the development of what is becoming an anxiously anticipated project.

“It’s incredibly important to me that the music is authentic because the people that lived through this era are very particular about it and anything that sounds slightly fake or corny is going to be picked up immediately.”
