Welcome to 2012, y’all! What better way to start the year than with some new ish from Jean Greasy. We proudly present the first single from Jean Grae‘s highly anticipated LP, Cake or Death. Listen to the M-Phazes produced “U&Me&EveryoneWeKnow” (Jean produced the intro). Real smooth two step vibe laced with Jean’s signature lyricism. This is just the beginning of the great music to come from Jean in the new year, Cake or Death will be out this spring.

PEACE, Great Jawn to start the year off right! The whole concept is well put together & well executed. Jean is mos def on of my Fav’s male or female and should go to the MC Pro Bowl every year! I’d love a shot to put a track behind her Soundcloud/ADJNAMEDSLASH/!

Anybody care to compare this track to Miranda July’s indie film it was named after? Also, can we stop saying Jean is “the best female MC” ? Howabout we say she’s one of the most progressive MC’s period. Besides, being the best female MC doesn’t require much, sadly? I saw Jean with Talib in Boston last year- she embarrassed him. What’s that got to with male/female. whatevs.zzz
