While the music world was in a Texas frame of mind, Frank Ocean went straight Los Alamos, dropping this neutron R&B bomb "Whip Appeal" on us via his testing-range, I mean his tumblr. This is not, apparently, another Odd Future leak, but a cut originally intended to be a bonus cut on Frank' going-legit debut Nostalgia Lite (the rest is mystery). It is however another not-so-subliminal tribute to an R&B classic (Babyface, hold your head), given Ocean's ultra-contempo spin. This is obviously intended to keep his fans um, whetted until the release of a totally new, un-named LP expected to drop by summer, his way of saying: "Keep the motor running, I'll be right out."
