Audio: Esperanza Spalding “Black Gold” f/ Algebra Blessett + Video

Grammy kid Esperanza Spalding is back with the first single from her forthcoming LP Radio Music Society (slated for a March 20th release–stay, um, tuned). It’s called “Black Gold” and features singer Algebra Blessett (what kind of mean-ass parents name their kid Algebra? Just cruel.) The song’s themes dovetail nicely with the kick-off of Black History Month, which probably helped land the debut of the video on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday (~~we’ll let you know when it goes online~~ UPDATE: It’s here! Watch above) which may suggest that Radio might actually be played on the radio. Stream below.
