Ali Shaheed Muhammad & Adrian Younge Curating 'Luke Cage' Live Show w/ 40-Piece Orchestra

Miguel Atwood-Ferguson To Compose 'Luke Cage' Score Live In LA w/ 40-Piece Orchestra

With just a week to go until Luke Cage is finally unleashed on Netflix, the frenzy is in full-force. But as fervently as we've been anticipating the bulletproof Harlem heavyweight, the show's score and soundtrack are just as anxiously-awaited. This is largely a symptom of Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge being at the helm, but what if we told you that for one night only, Younge and Muhammad's score could come to life right before your eyes.

On October 6th, exactly one week after the show's September 30th premiere, Miguel Atwood Ferguson (of Brainfeeder and Suite For Ma Dukes fame) will conduct a 40-piece orchestra in performing the show's score at The Theater at Ace Hotel in LA, as curated by Younge and Muhammad themselves. Comedians Russell Peters and Wayne "Give Me Your Damn Sandwich" Brady are set to host the event with an opening DJ set from No I.D. and the promise of special guests galore. Just for reference, it's already been confirmed that Charles Bradley, Jidenna, Raphael Saadiq and Faith Evans make cameos in the show, so you never know who might pop up. Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow, September 24th. We suggest booking that flight right about now.
