Kendrick is shopping around because his publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music — which he signed before he was a rap superstar — is about to expire.

This is a good time for Kendrick to be shopping for a new deal. The rapper has never been as popular. His 2017 album DAMN. moved 4.14 million album consumption units.

Throughout his career, K.Dot has generated 9.5 million album consumption units.
