Chance The Rapper Set to Headline the Inaugural Obama Foundation Summit

Chance The Curator.

Superstar Chance The Rapper will perform at Barack Obama's inaugural Obama Foundation Summit. The summit will take place October 31st and November 1st in Chicago at the Wintrust Arena.

The announcement was made in a video that the Obama Foundation released. Speaking of the event, Chance said:

"As soon as I heard about the summit, I jumped at the opportunity...There's a lot of great things going on in Chicago and I love the collaborative effort of being able to be at some of these talks and hear what people have going on and figuring out how I fit in. The fact that the president is jumping ahead of programming before the [Obama Presidential Center] gets built is inspiring."

Not only will Chance be performing at the summit, but he is also curating all of the musical performances at the summit. Along with Chance, Gloria Estefan and The Nationalswill also be hitting thestage. in the announcement video, Chance hinted at other performers he called "friends" but wouldn't expound.

The Obama Foundation Summit is a two-day event where leaders and people doing great community work come togetherto "exchange ideas, explore creative solutions to common problems, and experience civic art, technology, and music from around the world."
