Last year, the singer announced her longtime plans of retiring, debunking talks of her releasing new music. “Lot of rumors out there. No Tour. No CD,” she wrote in a statement. “I still love to write and record music, it’s part of my DNA. But I’m on a different road.”

Throughout her career spanning over two decades, Baker released seven projects and won 8 Grammys. Her last full length project was her 200 Christmas Fantasy album, where she covered classic Christmas songs. And in 2012, she released a remake of Tyrese’s “Lately,” which was initially intended to appear as the first single from her Only Forever album that was ultimately shelved.
