J Dilla fans don't make it easy on the estate. Let's be real, if you're a diehard there's a good chance you scorched the web for every last Old Donut, Munchkin and sugary soul flip the exists in its seemingly endless pantry of rare and unreleased treats. Sure, there have been questionably legit releases over the years that have genuinely added a couple dozen tracks to the canon, but for the most part, Dilla heads are hard to impress and pride themselves on having heard it all (whatever that means in regards to perhaps the most prolific and innovative producer hip-hop's ever seen.)

Last month, the estate announced a new posthumous release, Motor City, affording itself yet another opportunity to potentially put you on to a few oddities and unheards from the archive. And yes, there are a handful of absolutely gems that have never been included on a tape, official or otherwise. But the good share of it should be familiar to the better part of you. The good news is, the album is available to purchase on vinyl, a first-pressing for every cut on Motor City. You can grab J Dilla's Motor City on wax via The Shop or stream it below if you'd rather keep it digital.
