Rising H-Town funk and soul outfit The Suffers recently presented a full stream of their new self-titled debut LP for NPR's First Listen. The stream landed several days ahead of the album's highly-anticipated release on Friday. Partially funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, the 10-track release follows the celebrated 2015 Make Some Room EP and translates the spirit of their storied live shows successfully to tape. Full of nuance and power, the band shines consistently across each of the tracks compiled on the project and captained by lead singer Kam Franklin.
