Pharrell and Timbaland Could Be The Next "Beat Battle" Match-Up
Last month, heads were treated to a clash of the production gods, as Just Blaze and Swizz Beatz duked it out live and direct on Hot 97 in an aptly-titled (and predictably-epic) "beat battle." For nearly three hours, the greats stacked their hits over one another, chopping one another's work in a friendly yet intense bout.
But if Blaze and Swizz's match-up had you gripping the sides of your computer screen, you may wanna reserve this new for a well-protected phone. According to a recent set of tweets, Just Blaze is already lining up the could-be perennial challenge's next session, and it looks like Pharrell and Timbaland are on-deck.
Neither Timbaland or Pharrell have yet to respond or confirm their participation, but if these stars happen to align the world will owe Just an unpayable debt. Two Teddy Riley disciples, each a pioneer in their own right, with more hits in a year than most get in a career, Timbo v. Skateboard P is the perfect full-circle moment.
