Watch Mark Ronson & Mystikal Perform "Feel Right" w/ The Roots On The Tonight Show
Mark Ronson & Mystikal shared the stage with the mighty Roots crew this evening, performing their oh-so-funky collaborative cut "Feel Right" live on The Tonight Show. The force was strong in studio 6b this evening; Questo hitting his full "Funky Drummer" stride and the rest of the Illa Fifth channelling the mighty JBs, but you know, seeming to actually have a good time, even teasing Mystikal's Neptunes-helmed classic "Shake It Fast" for a moment. It was a welcome glimpse at what Ronson's Uptown Special might sound like live and direct, which has been a topic of discussion for at least this Okayplayer after seeing them electrify a stage just two floors up in the same damn building a few months back. There's no word on when --or really if-- a tour for such a feature-heavy insta-classic type piece is in the works, but you know exactly who will be waiting for it. Uptown Special is available to purchase on iTunes today and should provide a nice pallet cleanser for those of you (like me) who have been binging on Black Messiah.
