Kanye West Delivers A Heartfelt Rant On 'Ellen', Scattered But Poignant
"I see the value of everyone being able to experience a more beautiful life"
Just when you thought we may be in the clear of any Kanye West rant and rumblings, your boy hits daytime TV with some typically off-the-cuff tangents that, well, just prove that the new Kanye is just as impassioned as the old one. Taking to The Ellen Show yesterday, Ye was confronted with his ill-advised attempt to procure millions in supplementary funding from Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, via tweet. From there, the Chicago rapper details a dinner engagement with the Zuck, where he laid out his plans for global betterment by delving into his personal artistic philosophy in characteristically scattered Kanye fashion.
Elsewhere in the interview, discusses his children, addresses his reckless use of the 140-character internet space and likens himself to renaissance men like Steve Jobs, Picasso and Walt Disney, again. But it wasn't all name-dropping, as he did stumble and fumble through some fairly poignant topics, all of which have been broached before in some interview or another. Now, with a seventh studio album and all of the critical praise that typically comes along with it, is Kanye finally reaching the ears he so desperately yearns for? Perhaps. But it could just be another day in the life of Pablo.
