Janelle Monae & Wondaland Want You To Cut Your Own Version Of "Hell You Talmbout"

Earlier this month Janelle Monae, Jidenna and the whole Wondaland collective dropped what could only be described as an anthem of protest in "Hell You Talmbout," boiling hot with sentiments of outrage and unrest, naming the countless slain victims of police brutality that have been struck down over this tortured year. It was perhaps the year's most concentrated and deliberate answer to the call Questlove put out to the musical community in the wake of the murderers of Eric Garner and Michael Brown.

And while the fire of the Black Lives Matter movement is still raging as the slaying of men, women and children at the hands of our nation's law enforcement persists with criminal frequency, Wondaland has put out its own call, encouraging their fans to join in on the uproar by cutting their own versions of that heated anthem over a freshly-released instrumental of the track, which is available for you to download and make use of below. And then once you've laid down your vocal, upload your own personalized version of the cut to Soundcloud to join the chants and outrage in one massive roar.

"We recorded it to channel the pain, fear, and trauma caused by the ongoing slaughter of our brothers and sisters. We recorded it to challenge the indifference, disregard, and negligence of all who remain quiet about this issue."
