Spike Bones Stars In A Video For Dam-Funk's 2010 Cut "When I'm With U I Think Of Her"
It's been a minute and half since the modern boogie ambassador known as Dam-Funk graced us with some new face-screwing numbers. So I guess we'll have to settle for a new view on an old tune. In today's case, that tune is damn near as old as I am. Perhaps you recall the year 2010, when Dam let loose some tapes from the vault on his Adolescent Funk LP. Well, a new clip --directed by Rua Acorn -- has surfaced for one of that piece's finer offerings in "When I'm With U I Think Of Her," finding a fella named Spike Bones -- commandeered by Jonathan Acorn -- lamenting over his romantic predicament, while dishing out the words to Dam's very danceable offering (recorded in 1989!) in all of its house-touched glory. If you haven't put an ear to Adolescent Funk, you should most certainly do so and grab a copy on iTunes today. And be sure to catch Dam-Funk on tour this spring with the legendary Todd Rundgren, the dates for which are listed below.
