Ad-Rock & Jon Stewart Discuss Collecting Vinyl Rarities, Oprah's Wish-Granting Powers + More On 'The Daily Show'
Ad-Rock continues the promo run for his new film While We're Young with a stop on longtime admirer Jon Stewart's The Daily Show for a little powwow with the satirical news giant. While much of the chat was devoted to Stewart's gushing over the greatness that is Adam Horovitz, they did manage to hone in on a more focused line of discussion, mainly veering towards the abundance of crap that apparently fills Horovitz's home as a devout collector of things, specifically rare vinyl, now having within his possession some of the most-coveted break records in circulation including Melvin Bliss' "Synthetic Substitution" and The Meters' Cabbage Alley. Stewart was unable to summon Oprah's trademark gift-giving powers, but by the end of their wholly candid sit-down, he seemed poised to find that one break that Ad-Rock had yet to cop. While We're Young is out now, starring Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts, with Noah Baumbach as director and it marks Horovitz's first film role since 2007's Godspeed, so be sure to go out and support the critically-acclaimed film if you can.
