Ma$e voiced his opinion on the Super Bowl LX halftime show and it doesn’t sound like the Harlem rap vet was impressed. During an episode of It Is What It Is, M-A-Dollar-Sign-E and Cam’ron–along with Arabia and Michael Irvin–discussed Bad Bunny’s much-talked about show. Ma$e explained that he feels that the halftime show has been in decline for years now and suggested how the NFL could fix things.

“[Bad Bunny’s show] pales in comparison to all the [headliners] who have gone before,” Ma$e said after acknowledging Latinos and the “hardships” that they currently face in the U.S. “To me, it looks like the NFL is getting worse each year in their performance. That’s coming from me as a performer. If I had a budget to do a Super Bowl, you could do a greater show.”

Ma$e’s comments came just after Brown himself alluded to the Super Bowl halftime show in a since-deleted post on Instagram.

“I think its safe to say… they need me!” he wrote on his Instagram Stories, followed by a winking face emoji. It was just minutes after Bad Bunny’s show.

“I can think of several artists that could’ve done a better job [than Bad Bunny],” Ma$e said on It Is What It Is. “I would rate [Bad Bunny’s performance] a 4 out of 10.”

"I don't know how everyone feel about Chris Brown personally, but [he's] way overdue," he said.

The Harlem World rapper’s take was met with criticism online.
