Watch Pusha T, Monica + More Call For Prison Reform By Reading Stories Of Formerly Incarcerated

In a new PSA urging for prison reform, Pusha T reads the story of Norman Brown, a man who was found guilty of the non-violent offense of crack cocaine distribution and was sentenced to life without parole due to harshly draconian mandatory minimum sentencing laws. He was twenty-two at the time. Brown's sentence was eventually commuted by President Obama and he was released at the age of forty-seven. Multiple other celebrities did similar PSAs reading the stories of formerly incarcerated individuals. Ludacris filmed one, reading the words of Jamal Hanson, a man who spent seventeen years in prison for the non-violent offense of crack distribution. Gabourey SidibeTim Robbins, and Monica also contributed to the campaign. The PSAs were produced by Fictionless for the #MySentence campaign and created by Entertainment Consortium Collaborative Outreach Program. In other news, Pusha T's brother, formerly known as Malice but who now goes by No Malice, released a film documenting his relationship with Pharrell and the story behind The Clipse. The forty minute documentary is titled The End of Malice and is now streaming on Netflix.
