Watch: Maxwell’s Dark & Smoky Visuals For “1990x”

Maxwell, fresh off the release of his new album blackSUMMERS’nightwhich broke a seven year hiatus, has released the music video for the track “1990x.” In the age of corporations battling it out to see who can release which artists’ art, the video is a TIDAL exclusive. Maxwell’s last album, confusingly titled BLACKsummers’night, was released way back in 2009. The visuals to “1990x” are dark, sultry, and smoky, with Maxwell and a love interest lovingly gazing and caressing each other. Smoke, liquor, a luxury car, a chic modern house, and Maxwell looking dapper as usual, this video has it all. Scroll down for Maxwell tour dates as he embarks on the largely European leg of the tour and watch the video to “1990x” via TIDAL below.
