Watch SZA Perform “Love Galore” & “The Weekend” On ‘Saturday Night Live’
Backed by a full choir, live instruments and holiday cheer — SZA bodies her pair of performances on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
SZA has had a great arse year for 2017, as the First Lady of Top Dawg Entertainment was nominated for a Grammy and made countless “Best Of” lists for her debut album, CTRL. Her glow up is so real that seeing how humble and refreshingly down-to-Earth she is amidst all of this success is something you rarely see (but enjoy nonetheless) in our music industry.
To cap off her impactful contribution to our ears, Ms. Rowe was the musical guest for last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live. Hosted by James Franco, SZA came out and performed “Love Galore” sans Travis Scott and “The Weekend”. The latter is a sultry, sexy anthem to sharing a man which has resulted in the masses clamoring for a music video.
Get Top on the phone indeed.
Backed by a full choir, woodwind players and a life-size sculpture installment of her CTRL cover — SZA showed the rest of the world what they’ve been sleeping on. Performing as only she could, her siren-esque voice resonated with the audience and made us hope for that live CTRL album so we can put it in our OKP Shop.
Enough of our rabble-rousing, press play on the videos below and get your entire soul together when SZA hits Brooklyn on Dec. 10 at 8:00 p.m. at Brooklyn Steel.
