Here's something warm for the cold winter months.

Last year, Insecure and Afropunk teamed up to launch the #InsecureMusicContest. The contest was simple: up-and-coming artists submitted their best track to Afropunk. The winner would get his or her song played in a season three episode of Insecure.

Siaira Shawn — a young singer who is originally from San Francisco but now lives in New York City— ended up winning. She submitted the sultry track "Wrong Speed;" the track, which was produced by Mars Today, aired during the third season of Insecure (episode 7.)

Today, we are pleased to premiere the video for the lovely track. The first half of the video is for "Wrong Speed" while the second half is a live rendition of another song Shawn recorded called "Island."

It's cold over here in New York City, but this song and video are giving us summer vibes. Check it out below.
