Doja Cat’s “Get Into It (Yuh)” Finally Gets a Futuristic Music Video

We’re beginning to think Doja Cat is obsessed with life in space, “Get Into It (Yuh)” points to life beyond Earth.

Doja Cat’s single “Get Into It (Yuh)” finally receives a video.

Arriving early this morning, the visual featuring one of the most interesting rap songs of 2021 is brought to life in an otherworldly universe. This is beginning to become a theme for Doja Cat. Within the first few seconds that Doja receives screen time it’s clear she’s the leader of her all-female crew. Is this a nod to how she feels about her space in the female rap canon?

Next, Doja leads a mission to get her cat Starscream back. In between rescuing it, she travels through space, breaks out in a dance number, and appears in striking looks alongside her crew reminiscent of Jean Paul Gaultier’s designs from The Fifth Element. 

It’s hard to ignore how much Nicki Minaj inspires her throughout the length of the entire clip. The uncanniness is clear as she raps and also as she uses a high-pitched voice that made the track a standout on Planet Her which is Grammy-nominated (we’re rooting for Doja).
