Miami's own City Girls have returned to unleash a visual for "Twerkulator" directed by music legend Missy Elliott.

City Girls’ "Twerkulator" has finally received an official video and it was worth the wait.

This time around, the highly anticipated summer anthem receives a special touch by the video’s director, music legend Missy Elliott. Sticking to their guns, the duo serves up a slew of looks featuring colorful wigs topped off with stunning beat faces. But, there’s more, at the top of the video Elliott shares a loud city-wide warning that “The Twerkulators have already invaded Twerk-City and you don’t have much time!”

What follows is a twerktastic visual featuring JT, Yung Miami and a crew of dancers. Sean Bankhead was the mastermind behind the well-put-together dance routines shown throughout. We can’t help but think of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Thot Shit” as we watch the City Girls share their newest single yet again. In a similar vein, this track is definitely just as high octane as Meg’s track that arrived a few weeks ago. 

If we had to name a favorite scene in the video we’d venture to say the moment where the two rappers appear in all-pink custom MCM fits with matching ponytails is it. The dancers whose faces are covered are giving Blue Man Group, but we’ll take it. There’s one more moment we enjoyed, the recreation of Molly the time-telling clown from The Big Comfy Couch! JT and Miami are sexy versions of Molly and we didn’t see that coming at all. 

Most recently, JT and Yung Miami hit the stage at the 2021 BET Awards and shared a choreographed routine to “Twerkulator.” Their energy was high for the set. Other performers that evening included Jazmine Sullivan, Ari Lennox, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby and Silk Sonic.
