Billie Eilish Drops the Video for "No Time To Die," The New James Bond Theme

Billie Eilish provides the theme song for the new James Bond film of the same name.

Two months ago, Billie Eilish shot the black-and-white video for "No Time To Die," the new theme for the forthcoming 25th James Bond film of the same name. On Thursay, Eilish finally released the video.

Eilish originally debuted the song at the 2020 BRIT Awards. The video is a smoky, black-and-white affair that features clips of Daniel Craig in his fifth appearance as Agent 007. The film was originally scheduled to be released back in April, however the COVID-19 pandemic derailed plans. The film will be released on November 12 in the United Kingdom and Australia, and there are tentative plans for a November 20 release in North America.

With the release of "No Time to Die," Billie Eilish becomes the youngest singer-songwriter to record a James Bond theme, at 18 years of age. Her brother Finneas produced the track alongside Stephen Lipson, award-winning film score composer Hans Zimmer, and Matt Dunkley. Johnny Marr, guitarist for The Smiths, also contributed to the track. "No Time to Die" is available for streaming on all digital streaming platforms.

No Time to Die is directed by award-winning director Cary Joji Fukunaga. Fukunaga is known for the 2015 drama Beasts of No Nation, where he wrote, directed, produced and handled cinematography. He also directed the critically-acclaimed first season of the HBO series True Detective, for which he became the first director of Asian descent to win the Primetime Emmy award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.
