Best Videos To Drop Last Week: Conway The Machine, Jill Scott, YG & More

Conway The Machine and Jill Scott lead our video roundup this week with "Chanel Pearls."

Conway The Machine and Jill Scott's video for "Chanel Pearls" was an outlier when it dropped last week. It's storytelling at its finest and it deserves an award.

Tinashe recently revealed her latest "HMU For A Good Time" featuring Channel Tres.

And last week  YG teamed up with 21 Savage, BIA, and Tyga for his new single "Run."

Take a look at the rest of our selects below.

Dot Da Genius, Denzel Curry, Kid Cudi, J.I.D. – “Talk About Me”

Cole Bennett directs the splashy video for "Talk About Me" by Kid Cudi, EarthGang's J.I.D., and Denzel Curry. Dot Da Genius produces the banger that allows Curry a chance to unleash some brazen bars, J.I.D. also offers some compelling verses. Perhaps the most interesting moment of the clip is Cudi appearing in a Louis Vuitton space suit as he appears in a room filled with mirrors.

YG, Tyga, 21 Savage, BIA – “Run”

YG's "Run" is a star-studded video. 21 Savage, BIA and Tyga pop up within the Drew Kirsch-directed clip. There are a few nods to the Kardashians and we're sure White Chicks also served as a point of inspiration for Kirsch. Regardless, the bank robber theme emphasized throughout is cheeky. "Run" is the second single off of YG's forthcoming sixth studio album.

Young Devyn – “Decisions”

Brooklyn's Young Devyn is still cranking out singles. Her latest "Decisions" arrives with a video shot throughout her city. Much of the creative direction in the clip relies upon close-up shots and also a few moments that capture the energy Devyn is bringing to hip-hop.

Conway The Machine, Jill Scott – “Chanel Pearls”

Jill Scott raps on the exquisite Conway The Machine single "Chanel Pearls." Davi X. Pena and Chad Tennies direct the aesthetically pleasing visual. The shots are divine, for most of the video which arrived last week, a thriving, loving family is depicted. The video works due to the fact that Conway and Jill are presented as griots telling the stories of their own lives.

Tinashe, Channel Tres – “HMU For A Good Time”

Tinashe returns for "HMU For A Good Time" with Channel Tres. She takes viewers through an evening at a nightclub, and dancing ensues. But, from a birds-eye view, we're able to catch a glimpse at the infectious energy she often evokes.

Ne-Yo – “You Got The Body”

Ne-Yo's catchy single "You Got The Body" finally receives a video. Spike Tey directs the clip which emphasizes the sensuality of strippers. A plethora of tricks and body movements are displayed throughout.
