Serena Williams is set to play her first tennis match since her daughter’s birth.

Serena Williams will be playing her first competitive tennis match since the Australian Open at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship this Saturday, tournament organizers announced Sunday.

The 23-grand slam winner took time off from being the world’s greatest tennis player this year, marrying Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in November, and giving birth to their daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. in September.

"The Mubadala World Tennis Championship has long marked the beginning of the men's global tennis season and I am excited and honoured to be making my comeback as part of the first women to participate in the event."
