N.E.R.D. To Bring Their Extravagant Sounds To This Year’s NBA All-Star Weekend

Pharrell, Chad and Shay will perform a medley of hits from their new album No_One Ever Really Dies, including “Lemon,” featuring Rihanna.

Voting has commenced and people are buying plane tickets for this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend, which will take place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. In addition to seeing the league’s best players have a go-around in front of millions of hoops fans, the highly coveted halftime show performance will be headlined by none other than N.E.R.D.

Pharrell Williams and his gang of misfits recently released No_One Ever Really Dies, and is slated to perform a medley of hits, including their latest viral single, “Lemon,” which features Rihanna. There is no word on if Rihanna will be present for the performance, but we don’t see the Bajan bad gyal missing out on an opportunity to stunt on the masses.

In addition to N.E.R.D., Fergie will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner,” while Barenaked Ladies will deliver the Canadian national anthem. To prepare for the onslaught of music and mayhem, the NBA has also created the “All-Star Team Producers Group,” which will be comprised of more than 200 staff and entertainers from across all 30 teams. Mascots, DJs, in-arena emcees, specialty dance teams and more will take part in ensuring fans a strong outing for All-Star Weekend.

If you plan on going, get your things early, as the 2018 NBA All-Star Game will air live on Sunday, Feb. 18 on TNT at 8:00 p.m. EST.
