Did LeBron James Just Confirm That a LA Lakers, Nipsey Hussle Jersey is Releasing?

All money in

Back in July, ex-NBA star Caron Butler tweeted out a photoshopped photo of LeBron James rocking an LA Lakers jersey dedicated to rapper Nipsey Hussle. (The photo was created by Bleacher Report’s Grant Goldberg.)

The jersey was blue and mirrors the old Lakers throwbacks. The big difference is Crenshaw is written on the front.

At the time, a bunch of people on Twitter sent out tweets in support of the jersey, including Dwyane Wade.

Now it looks like the jersey might actually be happening.

On Tuesday, September 17th, LeBron posted a photo on his Instagram where he is wearing the jersey. The post, which can be seen above, features the caption “I know you smiling down back at me my G! The Marathon will Always Continue all around the world with me!”

Nothing has been formally announced but this seems like a no brainer. Last Year The Brooklyn Nets celebrated The Notorious B.I.G. with a jersey. While the Minsontasa Timberwolves honored Prince with his own jersey.
