The video is from January 26th, when Brown was arrested in a Walgreens parking lot. Brown was arrested and charged with resisting arrest. Police on the scene said that he acted in a menacing way while handing him a ticket. However, within two days, the charges were dropped and the police department announced that they were releasing the body cam footage.

As you can see in the video below, Brown was not acting in a menacing way. In the video, the officer approaches Brown, who was parked across two lanes in a Walgreens parking lot. Brown tells the officer that he doesn't see anything wrong with parking in two lines, considering that it was 2 am and the lot was empty. The cop tells him to back up and calls for more officers. More police come and the officer says Brown got "right up in my face.”

More officers surrounded him. One tells him to get his hands out of his pocket. Brown tells him that his hands are full. That's when the officer grabs his hand and then a group of cops put him to the ground and tase him. An officer can be heard yelling "taser, taser, taser." (The tasing moment comes around the eight-minute mark.)

After releasing the video, Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales released a statement apologizing for the unnecessary force. Morales said the officers “acted inappropriately” and have been disciplined.

Brown released a statement of his own on Wednesday. He confirms that he is suing the Milwaukee police department.

The Bucks also put out a statement, calling the "abuse and intimidation that Sterling experienced at the hands of Milwaukee Police...shameful and inexcusable."
