And chiming in with abbreviated sets, The Roots' Stro Elliot delivers the kung-fu swing and on his latest instrumental EP, Moods, while Father's Hu$band project is a brief but plenty buoyant sequence of glistening trap gems (featuring a predictably hilarious verse from Zach Fox.)

The loosies and standalones are an equally heady haul. Smoke DZA and Benny The Butcher's Pete-Rock-produced twist-up is off to a helluva start with "Drug Raps." Taylor McFerrin flipped Emily King's "Blue Light" into a symphonic slow-burner. Caribou stormed back with a recalibration of Gloria Barnes' holy grail soul ballad, "Home." Homeboy Sandman, Quelle Chris, and Your Old Droog united on a warp-speed posse cut. City Girls' JT celebrated her return with a victory lap. Xavier Omar and Parisalexa summon all the feels on their Sango-helmed heater, "What Do We Do?." And that's just half the script.
