A bright batch of new sounds to curb the cold rush.

Happy first frigid ass Friday, good people. Hopefully, the sun's shining wherever you might be. And, if not, this new Anderson .Paak piece could do the trick (at least in the spots that avoided the doctor's sterility.)

But Oxnard isn't the only ray of light in this week's release day barrage. Elsewhere, we see a return to regality from Mariah Carey on her stellar new album, Caution. Tyler, The Creator's cutting up seasonal suites on a surprise Christmas album.  And Leikeli47's here to stay with her lengthy, lush, and just fucking lovely, Acrylic.

The weekout in standout singles includes a jolting remix of Thundercat's "Friend Zone" via labelmate, Ross from Friends, a house-infused spike of electronics and pop-posturing from Frank Ocean collaborators, Jarami, the return of Kemba with his Smino-assisted cool-out "Exhale," and a whole lot more in the way of footwork fodder, spacious soundscapes, and cold, calculated trap anthems. Oh, and there's a sprawling new Danger Mouse collaboration tucked in there. Don't sleep on the gritty analog king.
