The packaged substance turned out to be baby powder.

Former president Barack Obama received a package filled with an unknown white, powdery substance at his office in Washington D.C. Tuesday, officials say. FBI, Secret Service, capital police, and fire crews rushed to the scene before the incident was deemed a hoax.

The letter with the powder arrived to the office from Hong Kong. Officials discovered the substance upon opening the letter, the New York Post reported, but after inspection, Fire and EMS Battalion Chief Edward Smith determined that the white substance was baby powder.

The incident took place around noon at the Worldlife Fund Headquarters, where Obama leased an office after his White House departure in January of 2017.

This all occurred one day after Donald Trump Jr.’s wife Vanessa Trump was taken to a New York hospital after a letter also containing a white powder was sent to her Sutton Place residence.

The letter has not been traced back, as the envelope had no return address. No injuries were reported.
