The woman who called the police on a boy after alleging he sexually assaulted her has since apologized.
Teresa Sue Klein was caught on camera by bystander Jason Littlejohn calling the police on a 9-year-old boy in Flatbush, Brooklyn after he accidentally brushed her backside with his backpack while walking out of a bodega with his mother.

“I want the cops here right now, Klein can be heard saying in the clip to 911. “The son grabbed my ass, and she decided to yell at me,” she continues, referencing the child’s mom.
However, surveillance footage from inside the bodega shows the boy’s backpack brush against Klein as he exits.
“He was walking out with his mom and accidentally brushed up against her. His mother was right behind him,” a deli worker told The New York Post.
Klein denied allegations of racism and explained to Pix 11 why she made the 911 call.
“Because as far as I could tell from the way it felt on my butt, that’s what happened. It’s not the first time I’ve been grabbed in the ass by a kid,” she said.
She also accused the boy’s mom of pretending to be a cop and leaving a threatening message for her, while the footage of Klein calling 911 shows that she was the one who actually claimed she was a cop.
“I would like to apologize to her daughter and her son but not to her. She could have walked away, but she didn’t. I’m also a Buddhist, [but] I let my temper show,” Klein said. “I’ve been called racist before, and I’m not.”
Upon seeing the footage from the bodega, Klein reportedly told The New York Times “Young man, I don’t know your name, but I’m sorry.”
According to KTLA 5, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams is calling on the NYPD to investigate Klein and determine whether or not she broke the law, comparing the incident to a “modern-day Emmett Till moment.”
Littlejohn and others from the community want the police to press charges against Klein for her allegations.
“The little kid thought he was going to go to jail for something he didn’t do,” Littlejohn said to Metro.us. “I thought it was someone calling the police for unnecessary reasons, especially on a child.”
Since the incident, Klein has been referred to as “Cornerstore Caroline,” joining a handful of other white people who’ve called the police on black people throughout this year.
