Sinkane, an insanely talented band, has made their television debut last night on Conan. Full disclosure: I went to school with the band’s producer, so his skills in the Arts have been long documented by my mind’s eye.

If you missed their first performance in front of a televised audience, Sinkane, alongside an 8-piece band with horns, executed the Life & Livin’ It Up (City Slang) single, “U’Huh,” which you can watch below.

For the few in attendance who aren’t familiar with this multi-instrumentalist collective, Sinkane consists of Ish Montgomery (bass), Jason Trammell (drums), Jonny Lam (guitar), Amanda Khiri (vocals), Elenna Canlas (keys and vocals) and the glue that connects them, Ahmed Gallab (producer).

Already in the mix of a world tour, which included five sold out U.S. shows (plus on in London for March 29) — Sinkane has been building up their reputation as a preeminent force in the music world. Don’t believe us, well just ask outlets such as New York Magazine Vulture, Entertainment Weekly, NPR and The Wall Street Journal who all have critical acclaim to share in Sinkane’s name.

If that doesn’t convince you, well, press play on the Conan video below + cop a copy of Life & Livin’ It by clicking here. Peep the tour dates as well, underneath.
