Jordan Peele of Key & Peelehas discussed wanting to create horror movies for over two years now, and it seems such a project will be hitting the big screen soon.

Titled Get Out, the forthcoming horror flick not only has a trailer but a confirmed release date.

Peele originally describedGet Out as based on "the fears of being a black man today," also adding:

"...it is one of the very, very few horror movies that does jump off of racial fears. That to me is a world that hasn't been explored. Specifically, the fears of being a black man today. The fears of being any person who feels like they're a stranger in any environment that is foreign to them. It deals with a protagonist that I don't see in horror movies."

The trailer does a good job of keeping with that idea, and foreshadowing what's to come in the film. As you could already tell from Peele's premise, this isn't your average horror movie. Instead of a zombie apocalypse or seemingly invincible, bloodthirsty killer, think eerily perfect community horror flicks like Society or The Stepford Wives.

Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) goes home to meet his girlfriend Rose's (Allison Williams) parents, played by Catherine Keneer and Bradley Whitford, for the first time. He asks her if her parents know that he's black to which she responds "should they?"

Inevitably, the trailer slowly begins to reveal that this is the least of Chris' worries, as the literally lily white community his girlfriend's parents reside in, hides a sinister secret.

Honestly, Seeing Jordan Peele's name under the production house that's given us Insidious, The Visit and The Gift wasn't something I ever thought I'd see. But it'll be interesting to see how Peele tackles this subject in a way that hasn't really been done before.
