Donald Glover‘s hit FX show Atlanta will likely take home lots of awards over the next year, so he’ll be thanking a lot of people. And on Sunday night, he thanked a group many rap fans thank every day: Migos.
After Atlanta won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Music or Comedy, Glover gave his thank you speech while being joined on stage by cast members, writers, and producers. After thanking the people who were specifically involved with the show, he shouted out the city of Atlanta – including the rap trio of Quavo, Takeoff and Offset.
“I really want to thank Atlanta, and all the black folks in Atlanta, for real. Just for being alive, and being amazing people. I couldn’t be here without Atlanta,” he said. “I really want to thank The Migos. Not for being on the show, but for making ‘Bad and Boujee.’ That’s the best song ever.”
“We didn’t think anybody was going to like the show, so I appreciate it,” he concluded.
The speech was an instant viral moment, with Migos and Bad and Boujee” both trending on Twitter.
