Video: Feist "Bittersweet Memories"

The new "video" for Feist's song "Bittersweet Memories" is actually a sort of slideshow based on the work of Argentinean photographer Irina Werner's conceptual series Back To The Future, in which she poses her subjects in nearly identical re-stagings of their childhood snapshots. The images are pretty amazing in and of themselves but coupled with the music, the before/after format is in danger of reducing the emotional power of Feist's song to a sort of a one-liner. Thankfully, the video version, directed by Hollie Singer, builds in complexity as the song progresses, making good use of video documentation of the recreations.
