The Trump Administration Plans to Go After Affirmative Action Programs

Make America make great again. Can't help but to wonder what that means at this point.

On Tuesday evening, the New York Times broke a story about the Justice Department which is headed by Attorney General Jeff Sessions preparing to go after colleges and universities for their perspective affirmative action policies that the administration deems is discriminatory against white students.

According to a document sent to the civil rights division of the Justice Department, the administration is looking for lawyers work on a project centered on "investigations and possible litigation related to intentional race-based discrimination in college and university admissions.

While the document doesn't blatantly say it will be defending whites, according to the Times, the phrase intentional race-based discrimination makes it clear that they are gunning for affirmative action programs.

Even more worrisome, is the fact that it seems like this incentive will be run out of the divisions front office, which doesn't feature educational experts and career public servants, but Trump's lackeys.

The NYTimes reached out to the Justice Department for comment. They did not respond.
