Tory Lanez Arrested For Violating Megan Thee Stallion's Protective Order

On Tuesday, Tory Lanez was arrested in court when Judge David Herriford found that he violated Megan Thee Stallion's protective order.

Trial is underway between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez. On Tuesday, Lanez was arrested during a hearing in Los Angeles after Judge David Herriford found that he violated Megan Thee Stallion's protective order. On the scene during the hearing, Nancy Dillion of Rolling Stone tweeted about Lanez's arrest.

“Tory Lanez was handcuffed in court and remanded to custody until he posts new bail of $350,000 in Megan Thee Stallion felony assault case,” she wrote. "Judge found him in violation of discovery protective order and personal contact order.”

“Judge David Herriford heard nearly an hour of argument about Lanez’s tweets and said some ‘seem to be clear messages’ to Megan," Dillion continued in a follow-up tweet. "He added new condition to Lanez’s release that he’s ‘not to mention the complaining witness in this case in any social media.’ Trial date set for 9/14.”

It seems that Judge Herriford didn't name the specific tweets that were geared towards Meg, but on Lanez's page, there are still tweets from March of him calling for protection.

In February, the Canadian artist also referenced the fallout between, him, Meg and her former friend Kelsey after the July 2020 shooting.

In October 2020, the court issued a protective order for Meg against Lanez after accusing him of shooting her in the feet. Although Lanez was also ordered to surrender any owned guns and pay a $190,000 bail, he violated the protective order in July 2021 during Rolling Loud Miami. During the festival, Lanez appeared as a special guest during DaBaby's set.
