Anyone who’s been paying attention to music over the last few years knows there’s been a musical renaissance of sorts going on in Chicago. So much talent in close proximity, and Windy City collective, THEMpeople, have been right in the middle of it from the start, collaborating with some of the biggest names that have emerged from The Second City. Today, they put those talents on display with their latest project, Smoke Breaks IV. You’ll be drawn right into the project after watching the brief promo video below (featuring the track “New Mecca”) with cameos from many of the project’s contributors. As for the rest of the music, expect features from Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Joey Purp, Mick Jenkins, Michael Anthony, Alex Wiley, Dally Auston, and more right alongside, THEMpeople.
